Certified Nursing Assistant (C.N.A.)

This is a Maine State Approved Certified Nursing Assistant training course. The new amount of hours has been reduced from 180 hours down to 130 hours. Preparing students to become CNA certified requires 70 classroom hours, 20 lab hours, and 40 clinical hours. Routine tasks required for personal nursing care will be taught.

Certified Nursing Assistant - Med (C.N.A.-Med)

Medications course follows standardized curriculum approved by the Maine State Board of Nursing. The purpose of this course is to teach experienced certified nurses assistants to administer selected noninjectable medications to patients who are 4 years of age and older. This standardized medication course will provide the basic of understanding needed for the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to administer medications accurately and safely.

Medical Terminology Orientation

This course is a prerequisite to enrollment into certificate courses such as Medical Transcription, Medical Assistant, and Medical Billing and Coding. Interested in applying for this course? Attend an orientation session where you’ll complete an application and be academically screened with a multiple choice skills survey. Prerequisites for the course: CASAS Reading score of 239 or higher.
