Cars are becoming more sophisticated every year. If you are a career-minded individual, this? ?course is the perfect place to begin your studies. The focus of the course will prepare you for an entry level technician position and prepare you to take the ASE (Auto Service Excellence) exam. ASE is an industry recognized credential and our program is NATEF certified.
Housed in a fully-equipped shop, the Automotive Technology Program emphasizes safety, and employability. This program provides the theoretical foundation, practical education, and work experience in the troubleshooting, testing, service, and repair of modern automobiles.
The year long course will be conducted in 4 sets of modules, 12 weeks per module. Students will gain technical knowledge as well as a hands on learning experience in the shop. Students will be responsible to provide their own protective eye equipment and proper footwear. The purchase of a basic toolkit will be expected. This course requires reading at least at a high school level and students will be CASAS tested as part of the participation process.
