Neck Tie Ditty Bag - Spring 2019

Are you looking for something unique and that can be used every day? How about creating a ditty bag or cosmetic bag out of your dad’s, husband’s, or grandfather’s favorite neck tie. In this class you will make a ditty bag from one or more neckties that you bring to class along with contrasting fabric and two zippers.

What to bring:

  • Your sewing machine or use one of the schools
  • Sewing basket supplies
  • 1 or more neck ties
  • Contrasting fabric for lining and exterior
  • 1-14" or longer zipper
  • 1-7" zipper
  • Matching thread

Bring along a washed sweater, 1/3 yard polar fleece, thread to match, pins, and fabric shears. If you have a portable sewing machine in good working order, please bring along. Extra sweaters and fleece will be available for a small fee.

Reiki is a sacred healing that nourishes, harmonizes, balances and empowers every aspect of life; physical, mental, emotional and spiritual. It’s used to support the healing process for illness, induce relaxation, reduce stress and increase general wellness. During this class you will learn the history of Reiki, the principles of Reiki, a brief introduction to the seven major energy centers, hand positions and the benefits of Reiki. You will receive your attunements and end the day with your certificate and the ability to do Reiki on yourself and loved ones.

Reiki II - Spring 2019

At this level you will learn the three sacred and ancient Reiki healing symbols, the definitions and practice drawing them. Receive your Reiki II level attunement, learn and practice distance Reiki and work with one another. Discuss building your Reiki practice and preparing sacred space for treatments. The class ends with your certificate and you are considered a practitioner and may practice Reiki on anyone. You must be certified in Reiki I to take this class.
