Cake Decorating for Everyone - Fall 2018

You are one course away from making beautiful cakes! Join Margie as we learn the basket-weave pattern, which can be learned in a few minutes, but will bring you years of beautiful cakes! Students are asked to bring an unfrosted one-layer cake. Materials fee includes frosting and a basket-weave decorating tip. Videos and how-to sites will be provided to students as well.

Crime Scene/Evidence - Fall 2018

Television shows and movies have many interested in crime scene processing techniques. Learn how we locally use some of the newest skills and techniques in Crime Scene and Evidence processing. Collect latent fingerprints, discover hidden footwear impressions, cast and collect 3-Dimensional tire treads, and see how tool-mark impressions are obtained.

Our Technicians will demonstrate and explain how these techniques are used to investigate a variety or crimes. We encourage hands-on participation so come prepared to get involved!!

Preserving the Harvest: Tomato Salsa and Low-Sugar Jam - Fall 2018

From the University of Maine Cooperative Extension staff and Master Food Preserver volunteers we will learn how to safely can Tomato Salsa and Low –Sugar Blueberry-Spice Jam using the hot water bath method. Participants will receive recipes and a jar of jam and jar of salsa. Please bring a potholder with you to class.
