Students need basic conversation, vocabulary and finger spelling knowledge in ASL. This is a continuation of ASL Level 1. The course is the second in a series of courses designed to develop the skills and knowledge needed to communicate in American Sign Language. This course continues to develop American Sign Language vocabulary and sentence construction as well as finger spelling. This class will fulfill the requirements of a high school biology class. The curriculum includes topics in ecology, cell biology, genetics, and heredity. There will be plenty of hands-on activities along with experiments. Create a cell model while studying cell parts, extract DNA and learn to decipher the genetic code in molecular biology, and see how traits are passed down while studying heredity.
